Funds have been made available through the generous support of A. Nelson and the Barcapel Foundation to help doctors, nurses and veterinary surgeons training to take the MFHom, MFHom(Nurse) and VetMFHom examinations and dentists training to take the DFHom examination. Bursaries are also available for pharmacists training for the Pharmacy Diploma.

The bursaries will be distributed to encourage those who most need them, those who are unable to attract financial support elsewhere and those who, on completion of their studies, are likely to use homoeopathic medicines regularly within their practice. Applicants should be UK citizens, resident in the UK and intending to practise within the UK or Ireland.

Bursaries are awarded for course fees only: they do not cover travel or accommodation costs, books or examination fees. Retrospective applications cannot be considered.

Application will be considered on an annual basis to fit with the cycle of courses. Before applying for funding, doctors should have sat, or have applied to sit, the Primary Health Care Exam (not essential for those studying on a Faculty-accredited full-time course). Some flexibility will be shown each year in awarding the bursaries, depending on the number of individuals applying and the total funds available.
