As is now the practice throughout medicine, the Faculty has implemented a mandatory CPD requirement for Faculty practitioners in order to assure the highest standards of practice. All LFHom, DFHom, MFHom and FFHom practitioners in the UK and Republic of Ireland must take part in homeopathic CPD to retain their registration with the Faculty. It is in the best interests of patients, Faculty members and homeopathy as a therapy, for the Faculty to have a transparent and robust system of CPD to maintain our high standards. It is for this reason that the Faculty takes CPD seriously. |

To encourage all members to engage in continuing homeopathic education, the Faculty has set minimum annual requirements for CPD. These are:
The CPD requirements are the same if you are retired and are still seeing patients for homeopathy, even if it is infrequently. Calls for submission of CPD materials are held annually when around 250 members are chosen at random to submit three years of their CPD for assessment. CPD is on a five-year rolling cycle so those who meet the requirements will be called again in five years time. If the requirements are not fulfilled, the practitioner will be given two years to make up the deficiency. Although every assistance will be given, the Faculty reserves the right to withdraw membership if CPD requirements are not met. The Faculty values every member and we understand that each practitioner is unique so if you have questions or want to discuss your current practice or personal situation as it relates to CPD, please contact Cristal Sumner by email at csumner@trusthomeopathy.org To download the current CPD record book as a PDF, click here.
