The work of the Faculty falls into three key areas - Academic, Promotion and Members - and is led by the three standing committees.

Each committee has clear terms of reference and a convener who provides leadership and works closely with the professional staff at the Faculty Office. The work of each committee is contained in the Faculty's strategic plan which is evaluated and revised as part of a regular annual timetable.

Academic Board
Responsible for the academic and educational work of the Faculty including the development of the core curriculum, accreditation, curriculum development and oversight of continuing professional education. Membership of the Academic Board is by appointment and includes directors of the academic centres and the Deans. All are closely involved with homeopathic academic development across medicine, dentistry, veterinary surgery and pharmacy. The convener of the Academic Board is the Dean.

Promotion Committee
Responsible for the Faculty's external and internal communications, including promoting the availability of homeopathy in the NHS, the Faculty's conference programme, its publications Homeopathy and Simile and all media work in the medical and general press. This is a working committee and utilises the special skills of its members. The convener is appointed by, and is a member of, the Faculty Council.

Members' Committee
Made up of elected regional representatives and representatives of the professional groups, the Members' Committee is responsible for all matters relating to the membership - expanding the membership, developing the network of local groups and improving services to members. The committee elects a convener who sits on Council to represent members' views.

Other committees
In addition to the three standing committees, the Faculty also has a Board of Examiners and a Disciplinary Committee.

Faculty Annual Review
Each year the Faculty publishes a review of its activities and plans. This is available from the Faculty on request.
